Privacy Policy

The short version: Trellis stores everything on your device. We don't collect your data, we don't track you, and we don't run analytics. Your commitments are yours alone.

What data Trellis collects

None. Trellis does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All your tasks, schedules, and completion history are stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device database (SwiftData).

Accounts and authentication

Trellis does not require an account. There is no sign-up, no login, and no user identifier. You are completely anonymous.

Analytics and tracking

Trellis does not include any analytics frameworks, tracking pixels, or third-party SDKs that collect usage data. We do not use:

In-App Purchases

Trellis offers an optional one-time purchase to unlock unlimited tasks. This transaction is processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive or store any payment information, billing details, or Apple ID data.

Widgets

Trellis includes home screen and lock screen widgets. Widget data is stored in a shared container on your device (App Group) so the widget can display your daily tasks. This data never leaves your device.

Data storage and backups

All data is stored locally on your iPhone. If you use iCloud Backup, your Trellis data may be included in your device backup as part of the app's standard data — this is handled by Apple, not by us.

Trellis offers a JSON export feature for manual backups. Exported files are created locally and shared using iOS's standard share sheet. We never see or access these files.

Third-party services

Trellis does not integrate with any third-party services. The only external communication is with Apple's App Store for processing in-app purchases, which is handled by iOS itself.

Children's privacy

Trellis does not collect data from anyone, including children. Since no personal information is collected, there are no age-related concerns.

Data deletion

Since all data is stored on your device, deleting the Trellis app removes all associated data. There is nothing to request deletion of because we don't have your data.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change this policy, we will update this page with the new date. Given our commitment to privacy, any change would only be to provide more clarity — never to reduce your privacy.
